1) About these Terms These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to the Site and the purchase of products from us. By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Shipping & Returns Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. Research-only notice: Our products are sold exclusively for laboratory research and development by competent users. They are not for human or animal consumption or any therapeutic, medical, diagnostic, or household use.
2) Eligibility & Intended Use 2.1 Age restriction. You must be 18+ to order. 2.2 Competence & facilities. By purchasing, you confirm you (or your organisation) have appropriate knowledge, training, and facilities to handle these materials safely and lawfully. 2.3 Prohibited uses. No clinical, in vivo, veterinary, cosmetic, food, or household applications. No compounding, dispensing, or administration to humans or animals. 2.4 Compliance is yours. You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, approvals, and institutional policies (including, as relevant, MHRA/HMRs, HSE, REACH/CLP, COSHH, university or company rules).
3) Product Information We aim to keep product descriptions, pricing, and availability accurate, but may correct errors or update information at any time without notice. Assay data, COAs, MSDS/SDS, and technical notes are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute advice.
4) Orders, Verification & Contract Formation 4.1 Order process. Your order is an offer to buy. Acceptance occurs only when we dispatch the products and send a dispatch confirmation email. Order confirmations are acknowledgements, not acceptance. 4.2 Verification. We may request age, identity, institutional affiliation, professional status, and/or intended use information, and may refuse or cancel orders at our discretion (including for safety, legal, regulatory, or availability reasons). 4.3 Right to limit. We may limit or cancel quantities per person, per organisation, or per order.
5) Pricing, Payment & VAT 5.1 Prices. Prices are as shown at checkout and may change without notice before acceptance. 5.2 VAT & duties. UK VAT (if applicable) and any duties, taxes, or fees are your responsibility as shown at checkout or assessed by the carrier or customs (for any non-UK destinations we may offer). 5.3 Payment. Payment methods are those offered at checkout. We may use third-party processors; their terms may apply.
6) Shipping, Delivery & Risk 6.1 Dispatch & delivery estimates. Shipping is per our Shipping Policy. Any delivery dates are estimates; delays outside our control (postal, courier, customs, strikes, adverse weather) do not constitute breach. 6.2 Risk & title. Risk passes to you on delivery to the address/carrier you specify. Title passes upon full payment and dispatch. 6.3 Restricted destinations. We may decline shipment to locations where products cannot be lawfully supplied or transported.
7) Returns & Refunds Returns and refunds are handled per our Returns/Refund Policy. Unless required by law, products must be unopened, in original condition, and within the stated returns window. Due to the research-grade nature of the goods, we cannot accept returns of opened or compromised items.
8) Safety & Handling 8.1 Hazardous materials. Products may be hazardous. You are responsible for risk assessment, appropriate PPE, secure storage, waste disposal, and training. 8.2 Documentation. Where available, SDS/COA/tech sheets are provided for information; you must not rely on them as a substitute for your own assessments.
9) Intellectual Property All Site content (logos, text, images, designs, product data) is owned by or licensed to C Peptides and protected by IP laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.
10) No Warranties; Indemnity; Limitation of Liability 10.1 No warranties. Products are supplied “as is” and “as available”, without any express or implied warranty (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement). 10.2 Indemnity. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your purchase, handling, storage, use, transfer, or disposal of the products. 10.3 Limitation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the price paid for the product(s) giving rise to the claim; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, data, business, or goodwill.
11) Legal Compliance, Export & Sanctions You must not purchase or use products in violation of applicable export controls, sanctions, or trade restrictions. We may refuse or cancel an order if supplying you would breach such rules.
12) Account Security & Acceptable Use Keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activities under your account. Do not: (a) interfere with Site security; (b) scrape or data-mine without permission; (c) upload or transmit malware; or (d) misuse the Site.
13) Force Majeure We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, epidemic/pandemic, labour disputes, carrier issues, or governmental action.
14) Changes to Terms & Policies We may update these Terms and our policies from time to time. Updates take effect when posted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
15) Severability; No Waiver If any provision is held invalid, the remainder remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
16) Governing Law & Jurisdiction These Terms and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
